Luciana Queiroz is a Brazilian photographer and journalist. She lived abroad for 8 years (US and Spain) and started to study photography when she retuned to Brazil, in 2012. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
She collaborated with publications such as Maailman Kuvalehti (Finland), Perfil (Argentina) and UOL (Brasil). In Rio, Luciana participated in the exhibition Focupação - an open-air event that featured the work of independent photojournalists during the protests that started in June 2013.
Luciana volunteered at PARES Cáritas RJ, an NGO supported by the UNHCR (The UN Refugee agency) that assists refugees in Rio. Since 2020, she has been collaborating with them professionally.
Her work is focused mainly on social and political issues.
She currently lives in Rio de Janeiro and is available for assignments globally.
